["Playwright: J.C. Honig.\nPerformance in April 1816 announced in (probably) Summer 1815.\n\n1816 performance received very negative review by De toneelkijker (1816 no.1), although it is indicated that the public liked it. In response to this review, the magazine received a letter to the editor, defending the female protagonist, and claiming the reviewer must not have read Opie's original.\n\nAlso at least three performances in sept./dec. 1841.\n\nProtagonists: Betty and Lord Bethford.\n\n!!Ending: \nBetty (=Agnes) and Lord Bethford (=Clifford) get married, and the father's reason is restored after Betty sings a song he used to be fond of.\n\n= different from the original, where both father and daughter die."]
