'Lies' van Gogh, sister of painter Vincent van Gogh.
Married to Jean Philippe Theodore du Quesne van Bruchem in 1891. 5 children (Hubertina Marie Normace van Gogh, Theodore Louis Gilles, Jeannette Adrienne Angeline, Rose Wilhelmine, Felix Jean Philippe.
Went to boarding school in Leeuwarden and Tiel.

Lauran Toorians: Dat is het jongste zusje van Vincent van Gogh, en zijn eerste biografe, die ook als dichteres naam maakte. Ik ken haar vooral als bewerkster van Bretonse gedichten - dat zal via het Frans zijn gegaan - uit de verzameling Barzaz Breiz en heb daar ook wel eens over geschreven. 4-7-14
