- Vidal, Elena Maria. "The Mysterious Catherine Hyde", in: Tea at Trianon. Sept. 21, 2008 (cons. Aug. 4, 2016)
Translator from French.
Vidal links Hyde to a Catherine Hyde/Kitty Hyams, of Jewish-Polish descent, fled to Ireland. Catherine (born in Ireland) supposedly received a convent education in Paris. Mentioned as Maid of Honour to Princess De Lamballe, and a favourite of Marie Antoinette. Died in Italy (possible in exile).
