MENTIONED IN:
- Buck, Guide to women's literature, 1992: "Originally a milk-woman she was thaught to read and write by her brother". Shows her verses to Hannah More, who becomes very controlling of her publications.
- Vaessens, Geschiedenis van de moderne Nederlandse literatuur, 2013, p.130

*Yearsley was rescued from desitution by the charity of Hannah More, who "discovered" her poetic talents and raised a subscription for her first volume of poetry. Thereafter, her writing furnished the family with the resources for a fairly comfortable life, despite a fallout with More over the profits of her first volume of poetry.(FScottJuly12.)
