The home of Maila Talvio and her husband, J.J. Mikkola was one of the few salons in Finland in the beginning of the 20th century. Maila Talvio was also active in many social projects and travelled a lot with her husband. Both Talvio and her husband are known also of their nazism and facism symphaties.
