Tyyne Tuulio was one of the most central influential persons in the fields of culture and literature of her time. She studied romance languages and literature in the university and became B.A. 1916. After marriage and birth of the sons Tyyni Tuulio balanced in between motherhood and artistic career. After the sudden death of her husband she moved with their disabled son to the countryside, Järvenpää. Tuulio planned to write an doctoral thesis but didn’t find time for it. She still became doctor honoris causa 1960 because of her academic credits. JWapr14
