Graduated at Czech institute for women’s teacher in Prague (there, she studied from 1875 to 1879). She worked as a teacher in several small towns in South Bohemia. Her career was crowned when she became head-master at the Girls school in Písek. She took part in ethnographic activities; she collected folk songs and folk costumes. She collaborated with E. Krásnohorská, E. M. Šoltézová and T. Sedláčková.
