Collborated with Juho Walve and Vihtori Lahde. -- Maikki Friberg had a poor childhood but she managed to get to Swedish teacher class in Helsinki and was able to make the matriculation examination. After that she studied in Berlin, Bern and Zürich. Friberg mastered many languages. She defended her doctoral thesis in Bern 1896. The thesis was about nordic folk high schools. After that Friberg travelled a lot giving lectures and exploring teaching practices. She was a member of the Suomalainen naisliitto (Finnish women’s association) from the begin and the chair of the Feminist association unioni 1920-1927. Jwapr14 Born in Kankaanpää.
