Ida Godenhjelm was a teacher who founded together with her husband Bernhard Godenhjelm a school for girls, "jatko-opisto" and by herself a kindergarten. She didn't have much possibilites to study in Finland because she wasn't a gentry woman, but she studied abroad in many institutions.
