Lina Snellman's father was a cousin of the philisopher J.V. Snellman. Lina Snellman was one of the most important agonist working in the social work of the church. She worked as the directress of the deaconesses' institution in Helsinki for a long time and guided the institution to it's glory. She was also a deaconess herself and active in YWCA. JWmay14
