Mentioned in Suomalainen kirjallisuus 1906-1910

Elsa Heporauta was a popular and productive writer later in her life. Her home was not upper class, but she had the chance to go to university and to the teacher's seminar. After that she worked as a teacher in a folk high school. In that school she met her husband, nobleman Frans Akseli Hästesko (later Heporauta). Elsa Heporauta founded an important women's organization, Kalevalaisten naisten liitto (association for Kalevala's women). JWjul14
