Five poems lamenting the deaths of members of the O'Brien family survive in the O'Brien family poem-book (Duanaire Uí Bhriain), compiled 1712. Manuscript now held in Russell Library, National University of Ireland Maynooth (MS M 107). Two poems are published and translated in the Field Day Anthology of Irish Writing, volume IV, pp, 399-405.
